How I met
Dr. Jane Goodall
Through the company I had, I was invited to a conference given by Jane Goodall in Barcelona. I was aware about the projects she had set up in Africa, and of course, I was delighted. When I saw her for the first time in person, speaking in front of hundreds of attendees, I absolutely loved it. I have no idea how she does it, but when you listen to her speech, it makes you want to do something to improve the world and support all her projects. She´s one of those individuals who can inspire you very deeply.
And that´s how the idea of sharing her story to inspire children to follow their dreams came about.
Later on, I went to another of her few appearances in Barcelona and her words further deepened my heart. I recall being inspired to write again during one of her lectures.
And that´s how the idea of sharing her story to inspire children to follow their dreams came about.
As Jane has always mentioned: "Children and young people are our future and it´s not too late to change what´s wrong, if each one of us does our part".
As she spoke, I imagined how her story could help girls and boys find their own passion in life. But not only that, I also saw the opportunity of teaching parents the importance of supporting their kids’ dreams. We accompany our children as they grow and we also have to help them to get to know themselves better. Each kid has a talent or a passion for something which has to be nurtured.
It is evident that Vanne, Jane's mother played a very important role in her life. The way she raised her daughter turned her into a person who loves the natural world and who respects all of its living creatures.
If you want to know more about the life of Jane Goodall and how she managed to live her dream, take a look at the book and let yourself be inspired.
